Chemical peel is a procedure of applying small amounts of acidic solution, usually AHA or BHA or both, to the skin’s surface to break up the adhesion, the “glue” between cells, and allow the proper shedding of dead skin cells from the skin. At the same time, it will increase new collagen production and boost skin renewal. The proper PH and percentage of the acids are critical to the successful treatment results.
